Clara B. Fleischacker

Clara B. Fleischacker 95, of Springfield, died at 8:10 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2008 at St. John's Hospital. Clara was born on August 2, 1912 in Thomasville, IL the daughter of Philip and Nellie Pointer Miller. She married John Fleischacker on January 21, 1933 in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2000. Clara was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sangamon County Home Extension, and enjoyed playing in card clubs. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son: Jack (wife, Clara L.) Fleischacker of Springfield; two daughters Kathy (husband, Jim) Beedie of Springfield, Cheryl (husband, Steve) Kannall of Springfield; four grandchildren: John, Mandy, Celeste, and Tiffany; four great grandchildren: Erin, Ian, Danan, and Jozie; two sisters Mary Smith of Florrisant, MO and Dolores Davis of Romulus, MI, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 North Amos Ave. Springfield, 62702. Funeral Mass will be at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Jallas celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
