

She was born on August 12, 1954 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Wilbert “Curly” and Marjorie (Woodrum) Jones. She married Jeffrey Hamblen on Sept 24, 1994 in Springfield. She was previously married to John Fry, Sr.
Diana had worked for Memorial Medical Center for 35 years, still serving as business manager of Perioperative Services. She was a member of Westside Christian Church, Springfield.
Besides her husband, Jeffrey, she is survived by a daughter Melissa (companion Shane Sullivan) Fry of Farmersville, IL, a son, John (wife Tonya) Fry, Jr. of Springfield, 3 grandchildren, Kyle Summer, and Hailey and Alexis Fry, her aunt Thelma “Peg” Stockton of Modesto, IL, 3 step-sons, James, Jeremy, and Zachary Hamblen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne and David Jones.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at 9:30 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
