Donald "Don" Shaw, 72, of Springfield, died at 5:10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Don was born in Van Wert, OH on September 26, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Margaret Shaw; grandparents, Lillian and Delbert Shaw, and Ralph and Pearl Stettler. Don worked for the State of Illinois at the Federal Disability Agency as a Disability Adjudicator for 30 years. He loved to play pool, reading, and watching Chicago Cubs games. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Don is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Mary (Shawn Berry) Shaw; grandson, Lucas Berry; sister, Sarah (Tom) Eickinberg; aunt, Helen Murphy; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1735 S. Camp Butler Road, Springfield, with Chaplain David Harmon officiating.
