

Donald L. Miller, Sr., 72, of Springfield, died at 10:32 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006 at his residence. Donald was born August 30, 1933 in Springfield, the son of George and Iona Roseberry Miller. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Fiat-Allis where he was employed as a foreman and he worked part-time for Jean’s Flower Shop. Donald was a member of American Legion Post #32. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Georgia Mae Winders. He is survived by three children: Donald Miller Jr. of Springfield, Shayna Miller of Altmar, NY and Mick Miller of O’Fallon, MO; five stepchildren: Pat Pedigo and Jeanie (husband, Percy) Williams both of Springfield, Toni (husband, Terry) Roberts of Greenfield, IL, Rick (wife, Sharen) Mabie of IA and Chris (wife, Nancy) Mrosko of O’Fallon, MO; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother: Richard Miller of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors. The family of Donald L. Miller, Sr. is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
