Donald Dean Roberts, 82, of Springfield, died on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. John's Hospice. Donald was born July 3, 1933 in Waverly, IL, the son of Charles O. and Mildred (Brown) Roberts. He married Leona Irene Krueger on December 10, 1952 in Cornith, MS; she preceded him in death. Donald was a graduate of Springfield High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed classic cars, including working on them, and traveling. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Donald Roberts. He is survived by one daughter, Debra (William) Lange of Lakewood, CO; one son, Charles O. Roberts of Florida; five grandchildren, Andrea, William, Rachel, Nicholas and Jessica; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Linda, Juanita and Shirley. Graveside Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Department of Defense and the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
