Donna was born in Wood River, IL March 11, 1951 the daughter of David and Maxine (Smock) Northcutt. She married Wilson Ford in Glasgow, IL Dec. 28, 1969 and he survives.
Also surviving are her twin sons; Dan (wife Sarah) Ford of Springfield, and Dennis (wife Nora) Ford of Vale, AZ. two grandchildren, her sister, Ruth Blackburn Vaughan of Largo, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sister Sue Fay and her parents preceded her in death.
Donna was a special education teacher. She taught at various schools throughout Illinois and retired from the South Fork School District 14. In retirement, she and her husband enjoyed wintering in Arizona. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd Springfield, IL where the family will host a visitation on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of a funeral service at 10:30 am. Pastor Linda Strader will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery, west of Springfield.
