Donna D. Turner

She was born in rural Virginia, IL, Sept. 7, 1933 the daughter of Louis and Rose Louise (Jones) Davidsmeyer. She married Robert G. Turner in Beardstown, IL Nov. 19, 1954 and he preceded her in death April 24, 2007. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold Davidsmeyer, and her step-father, Russell Spencer.

Donna was a nurse’s aid at Oak Terrace for several years and then retired as a teacher from Kindercare and Building Blocks. Donna enjoyed crochet and was a people person. She loved to learn about individuals through conversation. She very much enjoyed her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Kevin Turner of Springfield, a brother, Eugene (Betty) Davidsmeier of Virginia, IL, a sister, Betty Workman, of Springfield, a brother, Richard “Dick” (Isabelle) Davidsmeier of Boise, ID, a sister, Emily Remster of Valparaiso, IN, a sister Linda (David) Humphrey of Beardstown, IL and several cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Service: The Turner family will meet friends from 10:00 am Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 until time of funeral services at 11:30 am Tuesday, at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield. Rev. Michael Keppler will officiate. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery, near Riverton.
