He was born on April 8, 1971 in Springfield, the son of the late Russell Pylap and Marilyn Jean (Edwards) Hill, Sr.
Gabriel had been disabled and unable to work for several years. Prior to that he had worked in construction. He loved animals, especially his cats Squeaks and Baby. Gabriel was kind, generous, loving and caring. Even though he was not in the best of moods all the time, he would still do his best to find a way to make a person laugh. Gabriel had deep feelings for all those in his life. He enjoyed watching episodes of House and The Simpsons. One of Gabriel’s favored passions was cooking. He thoroughly enjoyed home-cooked meals. When Gabriel was able bodied, he enjoyed getting outdoors. He was an excellent shot and would hunt squirrels and rabbits for dinner. Gabriel also enjoyed fishing, he would take his boat and stay out for hours and hours.
He is survived by 2 sisters Carol and Brenda Hill, both of Springfield; his companion Jenny Mann of Loami, IL; an uncle Dean Cox, special niece Marilyn Hill of Texas; special nephew Isaac Hill of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell Hill, Jr. and Aaron Hill and 1 sister Sandy Hill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. Private graveside services will be held at Buckhart Cemetery, Buckhart, IL.
