Elise Martin

Elise was born October 13, 1912, in Bellmont, IL the daughter of Harry H. and Marie Seibert French. She married Glenn "Abe" Martin on August 12, 1933 in Fairfield, IL.

Elise graduated from Fairfield High School before becoming a devoted homemaker for her family.

Preceding Elise in death were her husband, Glenn "Abe" Martin and her parents, Harry and Marie French.

She is survived by her sons, Russell (wife, Sally) Martin of Springfield, IL and Ken (wife, Karen) Martin of Horseshoe Bay, TX; her six grandchildren, Philip Glenn Martin, David Russell Martin, and Sara Berkbigler, Liz Armstrong, Jeffrey Glenn Martin, and Taylor Russell Martin; her sister, Ruth Knavel of Fairfield, IL, and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11:30-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home, 106 Northeast 4th St., Fairfield, IL 62837.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home, 106 Northeast 4th St., Fairfield, IL 62837 with Rev. Carroll Kakac, officiating.

Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, IL.
