Beth was born in Springfield, December 12, 1947 the daughter of John and Betty (Ingles) Kirman. She graduated from Springfield High School and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Beth had a long career in graphic arts as an award-winning artist. She produced eye-popping graphics, serving clients through Digital Images, Donna’s House of Type and finally at the State of Illinois EPA, retiring on October 10, 2008. Still desiring to serve people, Beth became the activities assistant at Villa East Nursing Care until her second retirement June 1, 2019.
Beth had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church LCMS and a member of the Seekers Bible Class. She worked closely with the Salvation Army ARC, teaching those who couldn’t read or write. She was an accomplished seamstress and a Chicago Cubs fan.
Beth married Donald Anderson on August 20, 2004 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and he survives. She is also survived by her two daughters; Sarah (Aaron) Oberman of Reedsburg, WI and Amanda (Matt) Gallas of rural central IL; their father, Eugene “Ted” Hoisington; and six grandchildren. Her parents, John and Betty Kirman; step-mother Veda Kirman and a brother, John Kirman, preceded her in death.
Memorial gathering and service: The family will greet family and friends at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 2645 Old Jacksonville Rd. Springfield, IL Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of a memorial service at 2:00 pm there. Pastor Joshua T. Traxel will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.
