
Elizabeth A. Lott, 89, of Springfield, died at 12:05 a.m., Thursday, February 17, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. Elizabeth was born March 27, 1915 in Springfield the daughter of John and Margaret Dillon Higgins. She married Charles Lott in 1946 in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Lott, a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, was a clerk for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, St. Agnes Altar and Rosary Society, Woman’s Club, Catholic Daughters of America, Ceramics and Craft Club, St. Louise DeMarilac Guild and St. Joseph’s Home Coterie. She was a volunteer for Samaritans of St. John’s Hospital and St. Monica’s. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Thomas, Owen and John Higgins and one sister: Margaret Murphy. She is survived by one sister: Catherine (husband, James) Wassell of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2005 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert J. Jallas celebrant. Private burial will be Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Home, 3306 S. 6th St. Springfield, IL 62703.
