Ellen M. Osborne

Ellen M. Osborne, 60, of Springfield, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, November 28, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Ellen was born June 12, 1942 the daughter of George T. and Tressie Anderson Solomon in Springfield. She married William Osborne, February 17, 1962 at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Springfield. Ellen, a graduate of Lanphier High School, was employed by Illinois National Bank as a data processor. She was a member of ABATE and St. Joseph Catholic Church. She also helped with the RCIA at St. Joseph Church She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband William of Springfield; two sons: Duane and Mark Osborne of Springfield; one daughter Lori (husband, Ronald) Smith of Springfield; two grandchildren: Stephanie and Timothy Smith both of Springfield; three sisters: Dorothy Rice of Sherman, Eleanor Shroll of New Berlin, Shirley Harvill of Springfield; one brother George Soloman of Knoxville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2002. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Holinga officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the grandchildren for education funding. The family of Ellen M. Osborne is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
