Eric "Rick" B. Romager

Eric “Rick” B. Romager, 52, of Springfield, passed away on December 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 26, 1969 in Decatur, Illinois to Jimmie Lee Romager and Nancy “Galene” Wilcott. Eric married Christine Chapman on May 13, 2000 in Springfield and she survives.

Rick is also survived by his children: Jordan Romager of Washington State and Logan, Raegan and Aubrey Romager all of Springfield, one sister Stacey Romager and his mother Galene Wilcott both of Springfield and his stepmother Dee Romager of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his father.

Rick graduated from Decatur Eisenhower High School and attended Milliken University, Southwest Baptist University and graduated from the University of Illinois Springfield with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked as a commercial appraiser in the Springfield area. Rick played bass guitar with the West Side Christian Church Worship Team and he coached basketball and baseball at Springfield Christian School and also coached Blue Crew Baseball. He was a Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini fan.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday January 8, 2022 at West Side Christian Church, 2850 Cider Mill Lane, with Eddie Lowen officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:00am until the time of service Saturday at West Side.
