Our Lord and Savior welcomed our beloved Erin Renee Hoff to her Heavenly home with open arms on Friday, October 24th, 2025. She was also greeted by her mother Cindy and grandparents Bud, Bill and Jeanette.
Erin was born on June 28th of 1984 in Springfield, Illinois to W. Charles and Cynthia (Johnson) Hoff. Erin’s childhood was filled with mothering her younger twin siblings brother Andy & sister Lisa, numerous family vacations to her favorite place Branson, Missouri, and spending time with her cousins. She enjoyed watching family home movies and had a large DVD collection. She also enjoyed music and was a huge Taylor Swift fan. She especially loved family get togethers and the annual birthday silly string fight.
She was especially proud of graduating from Springfield High School in 2004, being confirmed with her siblings at Trinity Lutheran Church in 2002, being in both of her sibling’s weddings and becoming an aunt. Erin loved being employed at Goodwill and enjoyed her time spent with co-workers and staff members. She loved earning a paycheck and being able to get mani/pedis and buy gifts for her family. She lived in a Sparc group home in Springfield and had many friendships there that were her second family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Cynthia C. Hoff and her grandparents Chris J. Johnson of Nokomis, and Bill & Jeanette Hoff of Springfield. She is survived by her father Charles (Joleen) Hoff of Springfield, her sister Lisa (Andrew) Friedrich of Havana, her brother Andrew (Meghan) Hoff of Springfield, her step sister Tonya (Eric) Jones of Heyworth, her niece Riley Friedrich of Havana, her step nieces Payton Hill of Clinton, Reese and Taylor Hill of Heyworth, her maternal grandmother Alice Johnson of Chatham, her step grandfather Gary Mason of Lewistown, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
While we will miss her earthly presence, we find strength in the hope of the resurrection and the assurance that we will meet again.
