Ernest Wade Galloway

He was born on May 28, 1951 in Russell, KS, the son of the late Ernest Lydell and Mildred (Powell) Galloway. Mr. Galloway was in the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam. He was retired from the state of Illinois.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Leslie (husband Zachary) Goad and Katie Galloway, both of Springfield; 1 granddaughter Harper Goad of Springfield; siblings, Cathey Witts, Alice (husband Keith) Staats, Diane (husband Jim) Hale, all of Springfield, Danny (wife Kathy) Galloway of Glenarm, IL, Steve Galloway of Springfield, Creg Galloway of Riverton, IL, and R.C. Farris of Mexico, MO, and Shelly Fisher of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Tony Galloway.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Washington Park picnic shelter in Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
