Everett Lewis Reynolds

Everett was born on July 28, 1925 in Hingham, MA the son of Walter and Flora B. (Lewis) Reynolds. He later married Helen Yearse on January 6, 1956 she preceded him in death in 1997.

Everett proudly served in the United States Army as a Micro-wave Repairman from 1941 and retired after twenty five years in 1967. He also worked for Illinois Bell for twenty years before retiring in 1987. Everett loved to garden, read and was a member of the VFW 755 in Springfield.

Everett is survived by his children Michael Reynolds of Woodstock. GA, Karen ( partner Valerian Roberts) Reynolds of Springfield, grandchildren Elise Chew of Atlanta, GA, Kelli Altvater of Hutchinson, KS and McKenzie Altvater of Hutchinson, KS, great-grand child Kolton Altvater of Hutchinson, KS, sister Flora Bell Cushing of Hingham, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Everett is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Robin Lynn, brothers Walter and Frank and a sister Ethel.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Bisch Funeral Home 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. in Springfield from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 12:30pm with burial to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
