

She was born July 22, 1916 in Auxvasse, Mo. The daughter of E.M. and Leta Ford Conner. She married Perry Farrow in 1942 at Glendale, CA. and he preceded her in death in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ethelyn Conner Ledford, a brother, John Conner, a nephew William Conner Hughes and brothers in law George Hughes and Clell Ledford.
She graduated from Orton-Rice College in Columbia, MO. and worked for the Missouri State Auditor in Jefferson City until her marriage. She later did office work at Camp Roberts, Ca. and was the chief bookkeeper at A.S. Aloe Company in St. Louis for nearly 10 years.
She moved to Springfield in 1968 and became a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as deacon, elder and lay minister and was active in church circle and other womens organizations. She was a member of chapter HU of the PEO sisterhood. She was active in volunteer work in the Springfield area and joined the volunteer group at the Illinois Presbyterian Home in 1977 and enjoyed it until becoming a resident of the home in 2006.
She is survived by her sister, Marguerite Hughes of Springfield; sister in law, Marie Conner of Auxvasse, MO.; nieces, Carol Ledford Barrett of West Lafayette, IN. and Linda Conner Mauser of Littleton, CO.; nephews, Timothy, Michael and Daniel Conner all of Auxvasse,MO. and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Julie Wells Blythe officiating.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday Feb. 6, 2014 at Elmwood Cemetery, Mexico, MO.
