George Marvin White, 71, of Springfield died at his residence Tuesday, September 23, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born on July 13, 1943 in Steeleville, IL. to the late William George and Iva Peyton White, who preceded him in death. George married Nancy Jean Klein on June 15, 1963. He worked for the Secretary of State for 10 years and Igor trucking company as a manager, retiring after 25 years of service. Mr. White served in the US Army Reserves, where he was honorably discharged. George is survived by his wife, Nancy; their children: Kelly (Robert) Spence of Springfield, Dawn White of Springfield; sister Sharon (Robert) Draves of Rockwood, IL; 5 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of donor�s choice
