Gregory L. "Greg" Hashman

Gregory L. Hashman, 63, of Springfield, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at his residence. Greg was born August 13, 1951 in Springfield, to Joseph L. and Ruth A. Niccolls Hashman, Jr. His father preceded him in death. He married Joyce Winner on May 14, 1971. Greg was a trustee over the street department in Southern View; he was also the superintendent over the public works department in Jerome. Greg loved NASCAR, taking long motorcycle rides with his wife and spending time with his family. Greg is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Dawn (James) Foster; grandchildren, Kaylei Brunner, Kathrine and Kolton Foster; mother, Ruth Hashman; sisters, Trudy Abner and Joy (Kenny) Mendenhall; brother, Rod (Judy) Hashman; mother-in-law, Berniece Henley; sister-in-law, Sherry (Oz) Tengler; brothers-in-law, Steve (Kim) Winner, Mark (Tammy) Winner, and Mike Winner; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Graveside Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield at 12:00 p.m. for a procession to Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Celebration of Life: The family will host a celebration of life from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Southern View Village Hall, 3410 S. 5th St., Springfield.
