

Helen G. Morrow, 85, of Springfield, passed away at 4:35 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Memorial Hospice at Heritage. Helen was born March 15, 1933 in California, Missouri, the daughter of Andrew and Guy V. Roberts Weigel. She married Harold D. Morrow on February 19, 1949 at Boonville, Missouri; he preceded her in death. Helen was a wonderful and dedicated homemaker. She was a member of Church of St. Jude in Rochester. She enjoyed cross-stitch, a variety of needle-work and spending time with her family. Helen was a perfectionist and meticulous in everything she did. While raising six kids, she soon found ironing to be a source of therapy and prayer time. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Allen and Margaret Keil; and son-in-law, Randy Chevalier. She is survived by her six children, Rita (Larry) Davsko, Jane Chevalier, and Mike (Kay) Morrow, all of Springfield, Teri (Rod) Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA, Joe (Jan) Morrow of Gurnee, and Michelle (Joe) Crifasi of Springfield; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two on the way; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. The visitation will begin with a prayer service. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Church of St. Jude, 633 South Walnut Street, Rochester, with Rev. Brian Alford, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
