
Henry Walter “Heinie” Danner, Jr., 88, of Springfield, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, December 7, 2003 at home. Henry was born January 8, 1915 in Springfield, the son of Henry W. Sr. and Rosa Boetcher Danner. He married Margaret E. Cadigan on February 16, 1944 in Springfield. She preceded him in death, August 2, 1977. Henry served as a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Aloysius parish. Henry was also preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Patricia; one brother: Ernest Danner and two sisters: Edna Danner and Lena Davis. He is survived by three sons: Larry (wife, Karen) of Spaulding, Kevin (wife, Sandy) and David (wife, Debbie), both of Springfield; two daughters: Barbara Danner of House Springs, MO and Norma Kinsel (husband, William)of Springfield; one brother: Arthur Danner of Springfield; one sister: Betty (husband, Harry) Rogers of Glendora, CA; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.. Funeral Mass is at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Reverend Monsignor John R. Ossola celebrant and Reverend Thomas R. Liebler concelebrant. Burial follows at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will perform military honors.
