Ileus Buckley, 92, of Springfield, IL, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her children to whom she devoted her life. She was born August 10, 1917 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of Earl and Emma Brown. She was married to Harry Buckley on October 21, 1936. He preceded her in death; as did her sister, Estelle Craig. She is survived by her six children, three sons, Harry "Bud" Buckley III of Springfield, Donald (Judy) Buckley of Springfield and Thomas (Carol) Buckley of Naples, FL; three daughters, Nancy (Dave) Wagner of Springfield, Jane (Bill) Kinner of Naples, FL, and Mary (Jim) Keller of Lee's Summit, MO; twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ileus was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts and was proud to receive her 85 year pin for her service with them. She was a member of Kings Daughters and St. Agnes Catholic Church. She had served as a member of the board at Town & Country Bank. She was a volunteer for many organizations throughout her life. Her lively style evolved through her love of music and singing. She had a generous and giving magnetism for making friends and that virtue made people feel good, even strangers, though she never met one. In her 92 short years, she massed family and friends who will miss her greatly. She loved to share her beautiful smile, and loved spending time with her family whom she loved unconditionally. Family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield, IL.
