

Jackie was born on June 1, 1943, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of James Herschel and Agnes (Reid) Finn. She married Marvin Taft on October 25, 2003, at Rochester Christian Church.
Jackie was a 1961 graduate of New Berlin High School. She retired from the State of IL. Jackie was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Prairie Land Dance Club in Illiopolis. She enjoyed camping, dancing, traveling, watching NASCAR but above all else she enjoyed spending her time with her family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gregg Allen Bodine; her parents; one brother, Harold Finn; and brother-in-law, Willis Mavis.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Taft of Springfield; two sons, Stephen G. (wife, Cindy) Bodine of Riverton and Mark E. (wife, Sharon) Bodine of Girard; stepchildren, Brenda Taft of Chatham, Connie (husband, Tom) Geist of Springfield, Willie (wife, Janet) Taft of Mechanicsburg, Tammy (husband, John) Muchorski of Riverton, Glenn (wife, Denise) Tipps of Riverton, Jack (wife, Kari) Tipps of Riverton and Dawn Tipps of Springfield; three grandchildren, Justin (wife, Ashley) Bodine, Jason (wife, Bobbi Jo) Bodine and Stephanie (husband, Jon) Roberts; eight step-grandchildren, Amanda Doris, Aaron (wife, Tracy) Geist, Adam Geist, Andrew (wife, Krystal) Geist, Kayla (husband, Clayton) Muchorski, Katie and Kyle Muchorski, and Megan (husband, Matthew) Buckley; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two siblings, Ruth Ann Mavis of New Berlin and James (wife, Debbie) Finn of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Carol Finn of Murray, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-New Berlin. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Warren Brosi officiating. Burial will follow at Berlin Cemetery.
