James Bodine

Jim Bodine, 68, of Berlin, died on Monday October 15, 2007 at his home. Jim was born on September 21, 1939 in Berlin, IL, the son of Earl and Beulah Baker Bodine, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one daughter: Sandy Bodine; one son: James Bodine; two brothers: Charles and Carl Bodine. He married Barbara Dilley on January 15, 1966 at Berlin Christian Church Parsonage. He graduated from New Berlin High School in 1957. He retired from the State of IL Comptroller in 2002. He enjoyed camping, fishing boating, traveling with his camper, and spending time with friends and family, who was the most important thing to him. Surviving is wife, Barbara; three daughters: Cari (Brian) Partridge of Grapevine, TX, Teri (Patrick Dowling) Parker of Chatham; Cindy (William) Mueller of New Berlin; one daughter in law: Lydia Bodine of Leroy, IL; two sisters: June(Jim) Koontz of Hillsboro, Joyce(Bill) Corgan of Berlin, one sister in law: Jeanenne Bodine of New Berlin; three brothers: Glen (Marlene) Bodine of Berlin, Robert (Elizabeth) Bodine of Petersburg, Phillip(Betty) Bodine of Pleasant Plains, and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. The family welcomes friends to visit from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at McCullough-Delaney and Butler Funeral Home, 714 East Gibson Street New Berlin. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Berlin Christian Church, 113 East First Street, Berlin, with Warren Brosi officiating.
