James William Bordewick, 63, of Springfield, passed away at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. James was born October 30, 1938 the son of Lawrence and Ida Bordewick in Quincy. He married Jacqueline J. Rickman in 1965 in Quincy, IL. He was the coordinator of the Sangamon County Department of Community Resources Weatherization Program, retiring in 1999 after 19 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Daniel Bordewick. He is survived by his wife: Jacqueline Bordewick; one son: Jon Bordewick; one daughter: Lynn Cawley; one grandson: Jeremy Bordewick; two brothers: Dale of Quincy, Lawrence of Parkville, MO; several nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2002. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
