James Hubbard

James Hubbard, 80, of Loami, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Johns Hospital. James was born on May 30, 1938 in Barbourville, KY, the son of Haze Green and Nollie Hobbs Hubbard. He married Betty Hurst on August 25, 1956 in Hamilton, OH. James was a construction worker and owned J & L Construction in Florida for years. He was a 33rd degree Mason. James enjoyed traveling, shopping, and went everywhere with the love of his life, Betty. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Lynn Ball and Janice Lea Hubbard; two grandsons, Christopher Robert Ball and James Michael Hubbard II; his parents; two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hubbard of Loami; four children, James "Mike" (Cheri) Hubbard of New Berlin, JoAnn (Greg) Shepherd of West Collage, IN, Mitchel "Mitch" Allen (Jane) Hubbard of St. Augustine, FL, and Shelley (Chris) Lehman of Loami; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; one sister; and one brother. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Central Baptist Church, 600 West Birch St., New Berlin. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Sabo officiating. The family of James Hubbard is being served by McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 East Gibson St., New Berlin.
