James Martin Pearl of Springfield died on May 17, 2013 at St. John�s Hospital at the age of 87. Mr. Pearl was born on November 29, 1925, the son of Harry �Dutch� W. and Katharyn Marie Huggins Pearl. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Pearl. He is survived by one daughter. Mr. Pearl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had worked in the architectural field as an estimator for several firms in Springfield until retirement. He attended Blessed Sacrament Church and Church of the Little Flower. Cremation rites were accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Graveside services: will be held on July 24, 2013 at 2pm, with Paula Staab Polk as funeral celebrant.
