
Jamie E. Dehner, 38, of Springfield, passed away at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at Memorial Medical Center. Jamie was born January 1, 1964 the son of Henry C. Jr. and Barbara Jean Payne Dehner, in Burlington, IA. Jamie was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation as a computer programmer. He was also employed at University of Illinois at Springfield as an Instructor. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering at Iowa State University and his Master’s Degree in Computer Science at University of Illinois at Springfield. He served in the U.S. Army from 1986-1991. He enjoyed motorcycles and he was a talented musician who played many instruments. He was a member of ABATE of Illinois and the Illinois Symphony Orchestra. He was also a certified civil engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two brothers: Timothy E. Dehner of Burlington, IA, Dr. Benjamin T. Dehner of Omaha, NE and his longtime companion Rhonda Dehner of Springfield Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later dated in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA. Memorial contributions may be made to Jamie Dehner Fund, % of UIS, Springfield, Illinois. The family of Jamie E. Dehner is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
