She was born August 29, 1944, in Coffeen, IL, the daughter of James Laurel and Mary Jane White. She married Gary Wright on October 13, 1967.
Janet dedicated more than 30 years of faithful service to the Illinois Department of Labor, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment.
She loved spending time on the beach and enjoyed gardening, golf, and cooking for her family. Janet will mostly be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her sweet, generous nature.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; siblings, Karen and Laurel White; and nephew, Thomas White.
She is survived by her children, Brian Wright and Michelle (Bill) Havey, both of Springfield; siblings, Cheryl (Carl) Cress, Laura (Bob) Gillespie, and Leda White; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
