Jennie Lu Alexander

Jennie Lu Alexander, 49, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. louis, Missouri. Jennie was born June 12, 1953 the daughter of Emil and Luella Wright Alexander in Springfield. She was an underwriter for American General Life Insurance for 29 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and playing pool. She was a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress, Central Illinois Home Office Underwriter Association and a volunteer with the Festival of Trees. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Joseph “Joe” Alexander in 1999. She is survived by three sisters: Barbara Alexander-Jones of Springfield, Connie Stanley of Springfield, Julie Holm of Chula Vista, California; three brothers: Thomas Alexander of Ormand Beach, Florida, Carl Alexander of Lawndale, California, Kevin Alexander of Stanton, California; one aunt: Mary Weiss of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 3-6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2002. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2002 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Ayappa officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
