Jennifer Y. Palmer, 37, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. John's Hospital. Jennifer was born January 30, 1974 in Beeville, TX, the daughter of Paul and Frances J. Mella. She married Steven Palmer on June 4, 1994 in Tucson, AZ. Jennifer graduated from Rincon High School in Tuscon, AZ. She was currently working on her bachelor's degree in education and employed at Gizzy Lu. She was very active in her church and community. Jennifer's favorite things in life were her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Steven D. Palmer of Springfield; two sons, Drew (15) and Dylan (9) Palmer of Springfield; her parents; one brother, Daniel (expectant wife, Jody) Mella of Springfield; several aunts and uncles; one great-aunt; and several cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Hope Church, 3000 Lenhart Rd., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Hope Church, with Pastor Jake Kilinger officiating. Burial will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to: Jennifer Y.
