Jesse Harlan Cox

Jesse was born on January 6, 1993 in Springfield, the son of Richard Cox and Monica Penman.

Jesse was a 2012 graduate of Lanphier High School. He was employed by Dominos for 5 years. Jesse was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Jesse participated in mission trips for Hurricane Katrina and tornado relief efforts in Iowa with Parkway Christian Church. He also traveled to Japan with the People to People Ambassador Program. In his spare time, he enjoyed guitar, computer video games, Marvel comics and movies, and was a Star Wars fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Cox and grandfather, Richard Penman.

He is survived by his daughter, Janelle Annabella Cox; his mother, Monica Penman; grandmother,

Suzanne Penman; three step-siblings, Crystal Ackerman, Kathleen Meyers, and William Ackerman, Jr.; one uncle, Lonnie Penman; one aunt, Malinda Penman; cousins, Scott Penman and Connor Penman; nine nieces, Regan, Mikayla, Priscella, Daphne, Haley, Kristen, Zoey, Daytona and Ariel; nine nephews, Issac, Angel, Frankie, Evan, Eric, Jeremiah, Jeremy, Tyler and Marshel; and best friend/brother, Timothy Stanke.

The family will host a Memorial Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Parkway Christian Church, 2700 Lindbergh Blvd, Springfield, IL 62704.

Graveside Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1735 South Camp Butler Rd., Springfield with Rev. Rebecca Kirby officiating.
