Jesse Albert Meredith, Jr.

Jesse Albert Meredith, Jr, 60, of Springfield, died at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at his residence. Jesse was born April 16, 1944 in Springfield, the son of Jesse and Mildred Martinkus Meredith, Sr. Mr. Meredith was self employed in the auto body business. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three sons: Jesse (wife, Lydia) Meredith, III of Loami, Rickey (wife Debbie) Meredith of Emden, Joseph Scott (wife, Angie) Meredith of Divernon; ten grandchildren; four sisters: Gloria Fletcher of Winter Heaven, FL, Shirley Meredith of Winter, Haven, Fl, Virginia McGilvrey of Springfield, Kathy (husband, Ron) Lynn of Springfield; one brother: Jim (wife, May) Meredith of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 12 – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. David Van Bebber officiating. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield following the funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1305 Wabash, Suite J, Springfield, IL 62704.
