Jessie Charles Baker, 70, of Murrayville, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Passavant Hospital. Jessie was born on October 18, 1937 in Higby, MO, the son of Jesse O. and Mable Richards Baker. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Walter and Michael Baker. He is survived by his five children; two grandchildren; his siblings, Kay (Charles) Ratliff of Murrayville and Claude (DeAnna) Baker of Moberly, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703. Graveside ceremonies will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2008 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with the United States Department of Defense providing military honors.
