Jessie Mae Sorenson, 74, of Springfield, IL, passed away on March 18, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center. Jessie was born October 18, 1935 in Atlanta, IL, the daughter of Harry Elmer and Pauline Ellen Snooks Hewitt. She married Robert Glenn Sorenson, Sr., he preceded her in death. Jessie worked for Memorial Medical Center in the housekeeping department for over 20 years and loved to spend her free time outdoors. Jessie is also preceded by her parents; a son, Kevin Sorenson, and a few siblings. She is survived by her three sons; Robert Sorenson, Jr., Darryl Sorenson, and Brian Sorenson all of Springfield; her daughter, Dianna (husband, Lloyd) Rutherford of Springfield; five grandchildren, Stephen, Robbie, Darryl, Lucas, and Dana; two brothers, Bill Hewitt of Springfield, and Harry Hewitt of CA; four sisters Dorothy Packingham of Springfield, Edie Lane of Bement and Harriet Smith of CA; and several nieces and nephews. Private family ceremonies are being held.
