

JO JUNE PERRY, 75, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013, in Peoria. Jo June was born on January 18, 1938, in Springfield, the daughter of George and Fern (Cummings) White. Jo June was a lifetime member of St. Paul AME Church, a Past Worthy Grand Matron Order of the Eastern Star #3, a Capital Chargers and Statesmen Drum and Bugle Corp. mom, an avid shopper, and a loving and devoted Granny. Jo June retired from the State of Illinois Comptroller's office after many years.
Surviving Jo June are her children: James "Butch" (companion Le Esarey) Perry, Jeri Lynn (companion Michael Cook) Perry-Prince, Jeffrey Nelson (wife Leann) Perry, seven grandchildren: Hannah Prince, Jacob (companion Jennifer Mauer), Jacoya, Jordan, Braxton, Landon Perry, and Justin King, a great-grandson Jonah Perry, two brothers: Bobby and Bernard White, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter June Michelle Perry, and two brothers: George and Leonard White.
A memorial service conducted by Rev. Galda McCants will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Church, 1130 S 16th St. Springfield, IL 62703. The family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Those who wish may leave memorials in Jo June's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
