John W. Burgar

John W. Burgar, 76, lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away on December 24, 2012, with his family at his side. John loved spending time with his family, watching Bear’s football, racing, bird watching for eagles, and was proud of his Native American heritage. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Endres) Burgar, 2 sons; Raymond and John Burgar, three daughters; Tracy Burgar, Linda (Kevin) Brown, Patricia (Donald) Stubbs, 4 step-children; Mary, Judy, Bobby, Paul Hull, 2 sisters; Judy (Gary) Jones, Norma (Berwin) Thompson, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding John in death are his parents Raymond and Irene Burgar, 1 sister Clara, and 5 brothers; Jim, Raymond, Larry, Richard, and Russell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, at 12:30 pm, at Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen St Springfield IL 62703. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 11 am until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be performed by Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail.
