

He was born on July 9, 1949 in Springfield, the son of the late John F. and Eleanor C. (Curry) Ingram. He is survived by his wife Karen (Emerson) Ingram, his son John S. Ingram of Springfield, IL, his daughter Alexandra Peppers of Chicago, IL and his step-son Creighton Yoder of Riverton, IL. He will be laid to rest at Camp Butler cemetery in Springfield, IL.
John served in the U.S. Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a welder at Mitsubishi Motors and later was the lead Fork Truck Driver for Caterpillar in Decatur, IL. He was a very active member of the United Auto Workers, serving as Union Steward for UAW 2488. He also helped found “Operation Snowball” in Springfield.
Besides his immediate family he is survived by his 3 sisters, Phyllis Ingram, Linda Ray and Nancy Harbour; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
