Joseph David J.D. Boynton

He was born on March 15, 1978, in Mount Pleasant, Mich., the son of Stribling P. and Christine P. Boynton.

He was preceded in death by his mother; an infant brother; his grandparents, Joseph C. Boynton of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Norma P. Patton, Richard K. and Thorney R. Paul, all of Rock Island; and his great-grandparents, Reuben R. and Ruth S. Boynton of Pleasant Plains.

He is survived by his father, Stribling; stepmother, Darlene, both of High Point; stepgrandfather, Frederick P. Patton and uncle, Lance Patton, both of Rock Island; aunts, Mary Jo Boynton of Harvard, Mass., Elizabeth Bunn Boynton of Scottsdale, Margaret P. Patton of Moline, Allison P. Jackson of Springfield, Mo., and Lisa P. Frain of Rock Island; and many cousins, including Cathy Boynton Powell of Springfield, Mo.

A celebration of life memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at Emerywood Baptist Church in High Point. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Pleasant Plains Cemetery, with the assistance of Boardman Smith Funeral Home.
