She was born June 30, 1922 in rural Louisville the daughter of Harvey and Estelle Johnson Britton. She worked in Rantoul and later moved to Springfield where she worked at Memorial Medical Center for 27 years.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday Feb. 9, 2012 at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Hoffman officiating. Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. (www.boardman-smith.net).
