Josephine T. Larocca, 96, of Springfield, died at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at her home. Josephine was born on December 18, 1909 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Giganti LaRocca. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Springfield. She had been employed by the International Shoe Factory and then Sangamo Electric for twenty-two years, retiring in 1972. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Genevieve Segretto and Marie G. LaRocca and two brothers: Carl and Dominic LaRocca. She is survived by three sisters: Rose Marie Scheive of Springfield, Clara M. Kuznik of Barrington, Frances Relzda of Springfield; one brother: James David (wife, Betty) LaRocca of Springfield and many nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews. Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos, Springfield with Rev. Robert J. Jallas, celebrant. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery.
