She was born in Springfield on July 14, 1928, the daughter of Paul and Maria Antonia (Mezzepella) Scaduto. Josephine married Sevet John Madonia in Springfield on June 19, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2013.
Josephine attended Springfield High School. She was dedicated to her family and was a housewife prior to working at CWLP until her retirement in 1990. In her spare time, Josephine was an avid reader, enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, and spending time with her son and grandson. She was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her remarkable siblings, Rose, Frank, Virginia, Cheterina, Dominica, Dominic, Mary Ann; and her many other relatives and friends.
Josephine is survived by her son, Joe (Lynn Grayson) Madonia of Lake Geneva, WI; grandson, Joseph Grayson Madonia of Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Michael Friedel officiating.
