Joyce Bertoni

Joyce Bertoni, 84, of Springfield, passed away on February 21, 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 6, 1941 in Springfield to Donald Williamson and Louella M. Francis Williamson. Joyce married George E. "Ed" Bertoni and he preceded her in death on November 8, 2020 and was also preceded in death by her grandson, Gerald “Gerry” Beene.

Joyce is survived by three children: one daughter, Terri Beene of Springfield; two sons, Brian (Kim) Bertoni of Springfield and Eric (Angela) Bertoni of Pawnee; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

Joyce is also survived by her sister’s: Sandy McGill (Rick) of Wickenburg, AZ; Brenda Heck (Tom) of Springfield; and one brother-in-law, Ron Bertoni (Anita) of Springfield

Joyce retired from Horace Mann Ins. Company after 43 years. Joyce was a big Elvis fan and would attend the Elvis Tribute Shows here in Springfield and Branson, MO. Joyce enjoyed traveling, taking care of her yard, cheering loudly at her grandkids sporting events and spending time with her family and friends.

Joyce will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
