Joyce Ann Green Lance

Joyce was born December 21, 1936, in Thermal, AL, the daughter of Otis V. and Lillie M. Ratliff Green. She married Ronald Dale Lance on July 2, 1960, in Birmingham, AL. They enjoyed traveling the world together, from Maui to Turkey to Sweden, and loved to go on long Sunday drives. Ronald preceded her in death on June 21, 2003.

Joyce graduated valedictorian from Warrior High School in Warrior, AL. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved her grandchildren fiercely and was a very generous person to one and all. Joyce relished antiquing and had many wonderful collections from her travels and time spent at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona. She will be remembered for her beautifully stylish attire, her wicked sense of humor, and her love of ice-cold Pepsi, Alabama football, and slot machines.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Hollis Green.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Michael (Lynne) Lance of Pensacola, FL and Timothy (Teresa) Lance of Springfield; daughter, Traci (James) Lumberg of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Hunter Lance, Christopher Lance, Jacob Lance, Katie Lance, Will Lance, Hannah Lumberg, and Sarah Lumberg; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family ceremonies will be held with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
