Karen L. Horn, 46, of Springfield, passed away at 2:38 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Karen was born October 12, 1966 in Carlinville, the daughter of Robert A. and Betty Giller Maguire. She married Phillip Horn. Karen was a loving wife and daughter who gave unselfishly of her time and was always there for her family and friends. Karen is survived by her parents, Robert A. and Betty Maguire of Carlinville; her husband, Phillip Horn of Springfield; one son, Dustin Alan Horn of Springfield; two daughters, Breana Lynn and Lexi Ann, both of Springfield; her siblings, Robert Maguire of Grand Lake, CO, Sharon Sue Maguire of Springfield, and Colleen (husband, Daniel) L. Davis of Carlinville; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. The family will be hosting a memorial gathering from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at The Eagles Club, 2700 E. Ash St., Springfield, IL.
