Karl Edward "Ed" Clark

Karl Edward "Ed" Clark, 87, of Springfield, died at 12:48 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Ed was born May 24, 1930 in Springfield, the son of Edward T. and Grace W. Scott Clark. He married Clara VanPelt on October 11, 1975 in Springfield/ Ed was employed as a truck driver for the Teamsters for 38 years and Rudolf Express for 12 years. He also previously worked for Springfield-Decatur Transfer and Ashland Chemical. He was a member of the Anchor Boat Club and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Karl Clark II; his parents; and a brother, Robert "Scotty" Clark. He is survived by his wife, Clara Clark; children, John (wife, Connie) Clark, Jeanne Marcy, and Nancy (husband, Aaron, deceased) Wiles, all of Springfield; step-children, Larry (wife, Karen) Fagg of Sherman, Pamela (husband, Michael, deceased) Maloy, and Dale (wife, Sandy) Fagg, both of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Cassandra Langley, Rachael Clark, Bill Marcy, Jeff Marcy, John Marcy, Aaron Wiles, Jr., Christopher Wiles, Daniel Wiles, and Sindy Dickinson; six step-grandchildren, Kari Neathammer, Larry Fagg, Michael Fagg, Erin Stratton, Jessica Fagg, and Brian Maloy; sister, Nancy (husband, Joe) Roth of Wonder Valley, CA; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Brent, Kaiya, Brad, Althea, Ruby, Alexandra, Brooke, Lydia, Beatrice, Amelia, Samuel, Emma, Lauren, William, and Patrick; one niece; and several cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. The family will host a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Anchor Boat Club, 407 E. Lake Shore Dr., Springfield.
