

Kevin was born May 27, 1963 in Springfield, the son of Fred and Brenda Bryant Venaas.
Kevin graduated from Springfield High School in 1981 and graduated from the Navys Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed drawing, painting, reading and WWII studies.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Venaas.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Venaas of Chatham; daughter, Morgan Venaas of Pontiac; siblings, Mark (Chris) Venaas of Oswego and Melissa (Lee) Thompson of Renton, WA; best friend, Robert Huck; two nephews, Josh and Matt Venaas; great-nephew, Noah Venaas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home with Galen Broaddus, secular celebrant, officiating.
Burial will follow at Salisbury Cemetery.
