

He was born in Evansville, IN., on June 12, 1929 the son of John Francis and Elizabeth Agnes (Riney) Barclay. He married Gloria Broux she survives.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and a son Robert “Robin” L. Barclay.
He was in the Army at the end of WWII. He worked for the railroad for many years and than ran his own commercial contracting company. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, and loved to go diving. He was in charge of recording ministry for public television for Living Faith Baptist Church for twenty years.
Larry is survived by his children Connie Jean and her husband Robert Millsap of Glendale, AZ., Donna Marie and the late Harry Wikle of Panama City Beach, FL., and Joshua and his wife Kira Barclay of Altus, OK., grandchildren Lisa L. Ashmore, Tracy L. and her husband Chris Gardner and Reva Ann Copenhaver, great-grand children Jacob A. Ashmore, Austin W. Ashmore and Dylan M. Gardner, Step-children Mark and his wife Teresa Pearse, David and his wife Cyndee Pearse, Stephen and his wife Mindy Pearse and Tim and his wife Jamie Pearse.
A memorial service will take place at 1pm, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield. Reverend Kidd and Mark Emerson from the Living Faith Baptist Church in Sherman will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Association.
