Loretta M. Walters, 74, of Springfield, died at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday January 23, 2001 at her residence in Springfield. She was born February 17th, 1926 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of John & Rose Zupancic Kulavic. She married Arthur Walters, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers- Louis Kulavic and John Kulavic. Mrs. Walters was a homemaker. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Surviving are her brothers- Joseph Kulavic of Springfield, Francis (wife-Viola) Kulavic of Springfield, Charles (wife-Cecelia) Kulavic of Springfield, Bernard (wife-Rose) Kulavic of Boca Raton, Florida, and James (wife-Margaret) Kulavic of Peoria; 3 Sisters- Rose (husband-Anton C.) Hagelmeier of Springfield, Mary Stork of Auburn, and Clara Cottingham of Petersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. on Friday January 26th, 2001 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 South 6th Street in Springfield. The visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 9:00 a.m. Saturday January 27th, 2001 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Rev. John Ossola celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home.
