She was born on October 7, 1949 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Williams) Barnett. She married Richard “Dick” Westfall in 1975 in Clarkston, MI, and he survives.
Before her retirement, Lynn had most recently taught at Sacred Heart Griffin High School. Prior to that, she had taught at Lincoln Land Community College, Illinois State University, and other public schools in both Illinois and Michigan. She was also an artist and had been active in various local Artist Guilds and organizations.
Besides her husband Richard “Dick”, she is survived by a daughter Sarah Westfall of Tallula, IL; a son David Westfall of New Port Richey, FL; a granddaughter Mackenzie Westfall of New Port Richey, FL; 2 sisters, Nancy Barnett of Longmont, CO and Lelia (husband Jeff) Cooper of Holly, MI; and a brother David Barnett of Clarkston, MI.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. No Services are scheduled at this time. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
